This Privacy Policy explains how Gieka Beauty ("Gieka", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects information when you use the Gieka iOS app.

1. Information We Collect

Name – provided when you make a booking.
Phone number – provided when you make a booking.
Booking and purchase history – including the treatment, appointment date and time, booking status and deposit/payment status.
App-specific device identifier – a random identifier generated by the app and stored on your device so that the "My Bookings" feature can show bookings associated with the same device. This is not an advertising identifier and is not used for cross-app tracking.
Payment information – payment details are processed by Stripe and/or Apple Pay when you pay a booking deposit. Gieka does not receive or store your full payment card number.
Product interaction information – limited interaction data may be processed by Stripe's payment technology for payment functionality, security, fraud prevention and related analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

create and manage your beauty treatment bookings;
show your upcoming and previous bookings in the app;
process the £10 booking deposit;
confirm payment and booking status;
send local appointment reminders on your device, where you have allowed notifications;
provide customer support and respond to booking-related enquiries;
protect payments and help prevent fraud or misuse.

3. Payments

Payments are processed using Stripe and may also use Apple Pay. Payment information is handled by those payment services under their own privacy and security practices. Gieka does not store your full card number, card security code or Apple Pay card details.

4. Tracking and Advertising

Gieka does not use your name, phone number, booking information or app-specific device identifier for cross-app advertising tracking. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Sharing

We only share information where necessary to operate the app and provide the service. This may include payment processing providers such as Stripe and services required to operate our website, server and booking system.

We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation or a valid legal request.

6. Data Retention

Booking and payment-status records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to manage appointments, customer service, accounting, fraud prevention and legal or regulatory obligations.

The app-specific device identifier is retained so the app can recognise bookings associated with the same installation/device. It may stop being available if the app data or device keychain information is removed.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of certain personal information we hold about you.

8. Children's Privacy

The app is not designed to collect personal information from children independently. Bookings for minors should be made or supervised by a parent or legal guardian where appropriate.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date shown above.
